BASILICA

 Mass
From Monday to Saturday, Mass is celebrated at 08.00 and 18.30
On Sundays & Days of Obligation, Mass is celebrated at 09.00, 11.00 and 18.30
On Saturdays and the evenings before Days of Obligation,
the Mass at 18.30 is a Vigil Mass.

All Masses are celebrated in Italian.

Confession
Confessions are heard in Italian and in English.
Confessions are heard before all Masses on Sundays and Days of Obligation.

Rosary
From Monday to Friday, the Rosary is recited at 18.00

 Weddings are not celebrated in the Basilica di San Clemente.

EXCAVATIONS

From Monday to Saturday, 09.00 to 12.30 & 15.00-18.00
On Sundays and State Holidays, 10.00 to12.30 & 15.00-18.00
Last entrance to the excavations at 12.10 & 17.40

Admission to the excavations - €5
Admission for students under twenty-six years of age, with I.D., - €3,50

For the safety of pilgrims and visitors the excavations are fitted with closed circuit security cameras. Photography is not allowed in any part of the excavations.


PILGRIMAGES

Mass for pilgrimages must be arranged in advance.
Mass may be celebrated from Monday to Saturday between 09.30 and 11.30 only.

A written request must be forwarded, indicating the date, the number of pilgrims and the name of the celebrant. All requests need the approval of the Rector of Basilica San Clemente before they are confirmed.

Late arrival may result in the re-scheduling or cancellation of Mass.

Priests should note that vestments are available only for the celebrant.
